ABC Foundation
ALBANIAN BESA CAPITAL Foundation is a non-for-profit organization, without membership, independent, non-governmental, non-political, founded on free will by the founders, who do not have profit purposes and is open for all the persons who work for the accomplishment of its goals. The ABC Foundation supports the capacity increase of private entrepreneurship in Albania, small and medium business and especially actors of microfinance sector. Capacity building is accomplished by undertaking research oriented activities and execution of its results in trainings and promotions, consultancy, etc. In accordance with the operational capacities and as a response to the objectives for the improvement of socio-economic life, the Foundation supports even the less protected social groups of the society or vulnerable groups.
Balkan Fund for Economic Development Foundation
BEDF is a not-for-profit organizing with experience in creating, managing, spinning off business lending institutions through building partnerships with public stakeholders like MFC, KEPA, EC, EIF. EIB, IFC, Worldbank. The organization is also aiming to initiate and support business development projects in South Eastern Europe. The purpose of the institution is to support institutions that help entrepreneurs in unique way in SEEurope in sustainable way as well as to secure funding for innovative approaches to entrepreneurial support. BEDF staff has also experience in projects directed towards marginal and vulnerable groups of the population as well as in providing training especially for unemployed people in order to find jobs or startup own business. BEDF was the majority owner of microfinance institution Mikrofond AD, which provides loans for startups, social enterprises and minorities, and was successfully divested to become part of the biggest microfinance group in Bulgaria.
Νεοκλής Στάμκος
Mr. Neoklis Stamkos is one of the leaders of alternative financing of MSMEs including micro-lending in Greece and was in charge of microSTARS project. Neoklis is Chief Financial Officer at Business and Cultural Development Centre (KEPA) and was the founder and project manager of the KEPA office in Brussels. He received Microfinance Centre award of Financial Inclusion Ambassador for his efforts to stimulate microfinance in Greece and he is a Certified Expert in Microfinance, by Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. He has been working in KEPA for 10 years, in various positions, starting as supervisor of evaluations of investment projects of ROP / CSF III, responsible of the department of inspections at ongoing projects of NSFR 2007-2013 “1st call for Strengthening of Micro and Small Enterprises”.
